Iron Age Figurine. Circa 200 BCE. Copper-alloy, 38.20g. 58.72 x 31.68 mm. A rare anthropomorphic figurine of Late Iron Age date. The figurine is crudely cast and depicts a probable male (no genitalia evident), standing with arms raised slightly up, the right arm is bent with the left appearing to hold something?. The figure's head has clear features visible that are similar to other examples from the Continent as well as several heads and busts of Iron Age Britain. The rest of the figurine is two-dimensional with no body features portrayed. The body is very long and may suggest that the figure is wearing a long, knee-length robe. Possibly a votive piece.
